Integrated Business Model

How AMI Group connects origin, handling, logistics and market across the value chain.

AMI GROUP

From Origin to Market

AMI Group's operating model begins close to the source of production. The divisions engage with fishers and landing networks, farmers and aggregators, pastoralists and livestock traders, depending on the sector and product. Clear buying arrangements, product specifications and communication are used to improve planning and reduce uncertainty for both suppliers and customers.

After sourcing or production, the Group focuses on preserving value. This includes appropriate sorting, grading, storage, cold-chain coordination where required, transport planning, documentation and quality checks. These activities are essential because product value can be lost quickly when handling systems are weak, particularly for fresh fish, perishable crops and livestock moving over long distances.

AMI GROUP

Shared Capabilities Across the Portfolio

The three divisions benefit from common commercial and operational capabilities. Procurement processes, supplier due diligence, logistics relationships, customer management, finance controls, data collection and brand standards can be developed at Group level and adapted to each sector. This creates consistency without removing the specialist knowledge required within fisheries, agriculture and livestock.

AMI GROUP

Portfolio Synergies

The portfolio also creates practical synergies. Agricultural by-products may support feed opportunities; shared storage and transport planning can improve asset utilisation; institutional buyers may source multiple food categories through one relationship; and common quality systems can strengthen confidence across the AMI name. These synergies will be developed carefully, based on commercial viability and technical suitability.

AMI GROUP

Market Orientation

AMI Group develops supply in response to defined customer needs rather than treating production as an end in itself. Product form, quality grade, volume, delivery schedule, packaging and documentation are aligned with the requirements of wholesalers, retailers, hospitality businesses, processors, institutions and, where feasible, regional or international buyers. This market-led approach supports better planning and more sustainable growth.
